Years 1 and 2
A very warm welcome to the Year 1 and 2
class, to the children and the parents.
The class teacher is Miss Hughes and Miss
Elen Jones is the classroom assistant. The
Reception class will be joining us every
Thursday and Friday afternoon. Miss Einir
Jones will be teaching the class on a
Thursday afternoon.
P.E. lessons will be on a Wednesday
afternoon. The children will need
appropriate clothes and they can keep
their P.E. kit at school. The P.E. kit will be
sent home at the end of the half term so
that you have an opportunity to wash the
kit. Then, the kit needs to be returned to
school at the start of the next halt term.
Reading books will be changed on a Friday
and the children will need to bring their
reading bags to school every day. It’s very
important that you read with your child
every day. You are welcome to read extra
books from the library or books that you
have at home with your child. It’s very
important that you read with your child
every day and we appreciate your
comments in the ‘reading record’. Please
feel free to record any ‘extra books’ in the
reading record.
